What is circle time?
Each day we gather in our LUMPS circle time to talk about the day of the week, month of the year, weather and student of the day. We will discuss our letter of the week and practice our letter of the week poem. We sing-a-long to our favorite songs, and pass the talking stick.
What is discovery time?
During discovery time, the LUMPS students will take part in chapel time, Spanish (3-4 year olds) lessons or art class. Once a week, Pastor Madison gathers with the students in the church sancturary for chapel time. Miss Alicia teaches Spanish. And Miss Beth comes and talks about different types and forms of art.
Also during discovery time, we sometimes take a trip to the exploration room. This room focuses on science and gives the students opportunities to experience science hands-on and play with the preschool pets. We also have BibleMusic class, during which the students play instruments and sing praise music about the story of the Bible.
How do I enroll my child in the Louisburg United Methodist Preschool program?
Our preschool has open enrollment throughout the year. To discuss joining us, please give us a call. We will then set up a time for you and your child to visit the preschool and complete an application form. We look forward to meeting you!
